Homework reminder- Due Tuesday 08/10/13

 

Analyse the front cover of the magazine given or one of your own choice.

 

Homework Questions:

1. Why has the image on the front cover been chosen? How has the image been framed? (Camera shot)

2. What genre of magazine is it? How do you know this?

3. Research the readership statistics for the magazine (how many readers do they have)

4. Describe the model/artist/ actor/ actresses costume- what does it suggest about her image? Who does it appeal to? (Target audience) Why?

5. Mise- en- scene (what's in the shot) how have props been used? What messages are they conveying to the audience? - what setting is used and what are the connotations of this? - are there any inter textual references being made (e.g. To other texts) what are the connotations of this?

6. What colours are used and why?

7. How is lighting used? What's the effect?

Also, don't forget to upload your production diary for this week- You WILL be given a penalty point if not.
