2. Research the following 'Audience theories':
    - Direct effect theory
    - Uses and gratifications theory
Make notes in your books on definition, examples and important theorists and case studies for each theory.

Exam Preparation- FULLY REFUNDABLE TEXTBOOK!!!

I hope you all had a restful half term, there are some of you who have had marks deducted for late/ incomplete homework.

This needs to be completed as soon as possible- by Friday 28th February!!!!

Also, in preparation for your exam we have OCR AS level Media Studies text books that can be loaned for £10, which is completely refundable once the book is brought back in reasonable condition.

This book is compulsory so I expect you to pay your £10 to Mr Mansall (G Block) and bring your receipt to either Miss Beckles or Mr Barlow to receive your loaned book.

The information is very useful and you will be set homework tasks.

The deadline to pay for the loaned text book is Friday 5th March 2014.

Year 12s, well done for the amazing work this week and last week.

Only two of you replied with choices of chocolates so I will bring in a variety after half term.

Just a reminder that you need to complete all 7 of the evaluation questions using different forms of media.

1. WEDNESDAY 5th February ALL research and planning needs to be uploaded and you will be given a final mark.

- e.g. moodboards, front page/ content's page/ double page spread analysis, flat plans, research, colour and font charts etc.

1. FRIDAY 7th February ALL of your final production including:

 - front cover, content's page and double page spread needs to be uploaded to your blog.

1. WEDNESDAY 12th February your evaluations needs to be completed and ALL seven questions uploaded to your blog.

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Who would be the audience for your media product?

How did you attract/address your audience?

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

EVERYTHING  that you have completed for your coursework needs to be uploaded to your blog by THURSDAY 13th February!

If it is not uploaded then you will be given a mark/ grade based on whatever is on your blog.

You have been warned!

Also, if you do not meet the deadlines above then Mr Barlow and I will be issuing you with penalty points for not meeting deadlines.
